Sam was nominated this April for demonstrating one of our core values, Continuous Improvement.
Sam consistently seeks long-term solutions to part issues. Recently, recurring press heat issues were caused by hot runner tips becoming plugged. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue at the press, the tooling was pulled for further evaluation. Although the tooling was cleaned, product issues persisted, prompting a review of the material. The material was ultimately identified as the root cause.
Sam has been with Velosity for just over a year, and in that time he has advanced from 3rd Shift Molding Supervisor to Process Technician and Tool Room Supervisor, a testament to his strong performance and dedication. He is consistently engaged and highly visible on the floor, demonstrating a hands-on leadership style and a commitment to supporting his team. Sam approaches challenges with clarity and efficiency, fostering a positive, solutions-oriented work environment.
His contributions across Operations, Engineering, and Quality have made a meaningful impact, and his efforts are recognized and appreciated by colleagues throughout the organization.
About the Team Player of the Month Program
The Team Player of the Month program at Velosity recognizes employees who go above and beyond! Employees vote each month when they see a co-worker demonstrating one of our core values, which include: Continuous Improvement, Integrity, Results-Driven, Customer Satisfaction, Collaboration, and Environment, Social, & Governance (ESG). All monthly nominees are entered into a drawing, and the winner is selected. The winner receives a gift card of their choice, while everyone nominated receives recognition at our monthly meetings. In 2024, we had over 265 employees nominated!
